A uniquely delicious spirit, the famous Faretti liqueur comes from Rovereto in northern Italy Northern Italy in the Dolomite Mountains. Here, the wonderful biscotti cookies are baked in rustic brick ovens and the liqueur is made according to a proprietary recipe that calls for the base neutral spirits to be steeped with nuts, cocoa, fennel, citrus and caramel to reproduce the flavor of the famed twice-baked biscuit. It is lightly sweetened before being bottled at a lip-smacking 28% alcohol by volume (56 proof).
Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored it 97 points and selected it as a Best of 2016 saying "Dessert-like and delicious, this medium-bodied liqueur has a rich cocoa and marzipan scent, and tastes just like its namesake biscotti cookies. It warms the palate with nutty and chocolate flavors, perked up by hints of fennel and orange peel."
