Bodegas Goulart 2012 Malbec, The Marshall, Mendoza
Bodega Goulart dates back to 1915, when Marshall Gastao Goulart purchased properties in Mendoza and planted them with Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Decades later, Gastao's granddaughter Erika discovered the deed to the properties in Mendoza and made a drastic life change moving to Mendoza in 1988 to pursue the wine business. The Marshall is a special production wine that's a tribute to Marshall Goulart. The grapes are selected from the oldest vineyard rows in the Don Pedro vineyard in Lujan de Cuyo. 100% Malbec aged 18 months in French oak. This Malbec shows beautiful elegance with ripe
cherry and blackberry fruit matched by toasty spice and nicely polished tannins.
