Here's an impressive wine from a collection of wines Vias Imports founder, Fabrizio Pedrolli has sourced exclusively. Working with an esteemed enologist and a family grower with vineyards in Negrar, they have crafted this DOCG Amarone that's remarkable for quality and price. The grapes were dried on straw mats for four months then vinified in stainless steel over 50 days. This blend of 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella and 10% Molinara was aged two years in French oak barrels. Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 93 points and said "Black-skinned fruit, pressed violet and a whiff of chopped herbs lead the nose on this full-bodied red. The bold palate offers high-toned flavors of ripe black cherry, black raspberry, mint and a hint of fig uplifted by fresh acidity. Firm, velvety tannins give it a smooth texture." Supple enough for current enjoyment but with the concentration to age. Don't miss it.
