Here's a rare Napa Cab from the "dream" 2014 vintage. A small production Cab sourced from a single vineyard in St. Helena. Cabernet Sauvignon with a hint of Cabernet Franc and Malbec, the grapes were given an extended cold soak and a long maceration to extract the most intensity and soften any harsh tannins. Aging was in a mix of French and American oak, 40% new. The wine shows remarkable softness and a plush quality that caresses the mid-palate. Notes of black currant, cherry, cedar spice and cocoa are redolent and lingering. Drinks beautifully right now with short aeration and imbued with the balance and intensity to age gracefully for many years to come. On sale and an absolute steal! Don't miss it!!
This is arguably the best under $25 Napa Cab that I've tasted from the 2014 vintage. Pretty yet intense on the nose with all that classic Napa fruit and oak character, with a balanced and well structured palate. This was even better an hour or 2 after it was opened, so give it some time to breathe, patience is a virtue!
I would definitely recommend this Precision, the smell and taste is very good, and the price per bottle is incrediable at $24.95 per bottle. I would compare it very close to Jordan 2014, which basically is double in price!
I run a wine club at my company selecting a wine each month for all to purchase. After reading various reviews in addition to Josh's review I selected this wine. This was such a smash hit that the club asked me to order a second round which actually was larger than the first order. It was full bodied, with hints of black fruit, oak and leather. I decanted it and had it with food
