Produced by Azienda Agricola Botto Pier Luigi, founded in 1994. For more than five generations this family has grown grapes from its 50 acres vines in the Monferrato region of Piedmont. The Dolcetto grapes for this wine were sourced from low-yield vineyards in the Acqui region. The vines get good southeastern exposure and attin excellent ripeness. After a manual harvesting to preserve the integrity of the grape, the fruit is fermented in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation the wine ages 8-9 months also in stainless steel to retain the bright fruit flavors. the wine shows intense violet color, and on the palate has cherry, plum and blackberry flaovrs.
