Chappellet Vineyards in the Pritchard Hill region of Napa Valley is legendary for its outstanding Cab-based wines and their Mountain Cuvee is their affordable red blend made to be drunk while waiting for the big boys to come around. This 2015 uses grapes from the Chappellet estate as well as other prime vineyards in Napa. It's a blend of 37% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Malbec, 11% Petit Verdot and 7% Cabernet Franc, the result is a complex array of aromas and flavors that deliver pure pleasure in a glass. 2015 was yet another incredible vintage with in Napa Valley that has critics raving. This wine shows plum and cherry flavors mingling with sweet oak, cocoa and baking spices with supple tannins and a smooth, lingering texture.
