Chateau La Grange Clinet 2015 Grande Reserve, Cotes de Bordeaux
Once part of a much larger Bordeaux estate in the 18th century, the vineyards of La Grange Clinet now surround a nature preserve. All the farming is sustainable and only organic fertilizers are used. Situated on the right bank of the Garonne river on gentle hills the 70 acres of mature vines grow Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. For this 2015 the blend is 60% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc aged 12 months in French oak barrels. Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 90 points saying "Rich, structured and juicy, this wine shows black fruit tones, with its firm tannins and fine acidity. Itís developing into a warm, ripe wine. Drink from 2020." This wine from the 96 point 2015 vintage is another ripe and compelling wine and best of all the price is still a steal!
