About 7 Deadly Zins 2016 Zinfandel, Lodi

Michael David's Head Winemaker Adam Mettler, who made this Zin was named Wine Enthusiast Magazine's Winemaker of the Year for 2018! The Catholic school upbringing of brothers Michael and David inspired the monikerfor this, their seductive Old Vine Zinfandel from the enviable Lodi Appellation where Zin reigns supreme. The Seven Sins were related to the seven Old Vine Zinfandels blended in the wine; 95% Zinfandel and 5% Petite Sirah aged 12 months in American oak.

2016 was an outstanding vintage in The Sirra Foothills where Lodi is located. The  fruit quality was impeccable. This Zin is  full-bodied and seductive. Heaps of jammy berry fruit are followed by aromas of leather, oak and spice notes. On the palate the wine is round and layered showing flavors of dark fruits, currants and toffee through a lingering spice-touched finish. Solid Value!
