Acrobat wines are sourced from a spectrum of Oregon vineyards, spanning the three classic Western AVA’s – Willamette Valley, Umpqua Valley and Rogue Valley. Grower relationships are what make Acrobat wines so deliciously consistent each vintage. We are honored to work with such marquee vineyard sites. Each vineyard and AVA have distinct characteristics and provide their own flavor. This diverse geographical selection was done by design, giving Acrobat wines a balanced flavor profile of the state of Oregon.
For this 2018, grapes were destemmed, cold-soaked, punched down and pumped over. The 2018 vintage underwent malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks before being aged for 7 months in 20% new French oak. It shows rich, fruit-forward aromas of bright Bing cherry and raspberries, with hints of cinnamon and baking spices. The palate echoes with ripe strawberries and dark chocolate up front, followed by earthy and spicy notes of forest floor and clove. A lovely medium-bodied Pinot Noir with fine-grained tannins and refreshing acidity, expect this wine to age beautifully through the next decade.
