Sophie and Vincent Morey both come from families of wine-growers. They started their own domaine in 2006 and had their first harvest in 2007. When Vincent's father Bernard Morey, a leading personality in the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, retired Vincent took over a part of the holding. Much of their focus is in the vineyard carefully tending the vines. They keep yields very low by going through in early Spring and debudding the vines. This results in very little need for green harvest.
2014 was an outstanding vintage for White Burgundies rating 97 points overall. This wine shows peach and pear aromas on the nose, it's rich and well-rounded in the mouth with straight ahead flavors of white peach, delicious apple a dose of stony minerals. Dry and lingering on the finish. Limited!!
