Calera’s Mt. Harlan Vineyards are located inthe Gavilan Mountains 25 miles east of the Monterey Bay. The site was chosen for its limestone soils and ideal climate. At an average elevation of 2,200 feet it is among the highest and coolest vineyard sites in California.
The Mt. Harlan Viognier is a signature white wine for Calera. Crafted using a combination of neutral French oak barrels, stainless steel and concrete egg. The wine aged 14 months sur lie 60% in neutral French oak, 30% concrete vats and 10% stainless steel.
This wine is complex and alluring wine offers vivacious aromas of acacia, jasmine, and Meyer lemon. On the palate, flavors of zesty peach and lemon meringue glide to a bright and focused finish. Limited!!
