Located in the heart of Entre-Deux-Mers, Chateau de l'Aubrade is a property founded in 1973 by Jean-Pierre and Paulette Lobre, passionate about winemaking. Christophe and GĂ©rard, their sons, decided to join them in the 1990s. Today, they perpetuate this family legacy. Thanks to the calcareous, clay and loam-siliceous soils on which this 170 acre vineyard resides, they can grow Bordeaux varieties with great success. They follow strict practices in the vineyard and limit yields to a minimum.

2016 was of course a exceptional vintage and this wine is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc each fermented separately. The wine aged in oak for one year.

This wine has collected two Gold Medals and Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 91 points saying "Big, smoky and bold, this wood-aged wine has ripe black fruits, rich tannins and excellent potential. Its structure is still firm, but the weight of black fruits is very much there. Drink from 2022." A tremendous value!
