Magnum, 1.5 Liters

Chateau du Taillan is a family-run Cru Bourgeois estate. Nowadays, the current owners are 5 sisters. They are the 5th generation of the long established Cruse family, who has owned the property since it was acquired by Henri Cruse in 1896. Situated at the gateway of the Medoc area, Chateau du Taillan is one of the most attractive vineyards in the Gironde. The classical chateau dates back to the 18th century with its unique underground cellars it is now listed as a French National Heritage Site. This wine from the historic 2010 vintage is a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc aged 12 months in French oak barrels. It won Silver Medal at Concours of Paris 2014, a Silver Medal at Concours of Bordeaux 2014, a Silver Medal at Concours of Bruxelles 2014, a Bronze Medal at Concours of Macon 2014 and Wine Review Online scored it 92 points saying “With a fabulous interplay of ripe fruit, savory notes and freshness, the 2010 Château du Taillan is as attractive as the historic château is gorgeous. It’s hard to find this quality and class at this price.”
