Chateau La Peyre Par Nature 2022 Bordeaux

Who ever said Bordeaux was dull and covered in dust? Certainly not Fabien La Peyre, a 33-year-old "Artisan-Winegrower-Entrepreneur" who has been tending to his family's vineyard, Chateau La Peyre, since 2011, right in the heart of Bordeaux Entre-Deux-Mers.

So, what's his story? Well, Fabien is the latest in a line of five generations of winegrowers who have been nurturing Chateau La Peyre since its inception in 1879. Fast forward to today, and Fabien is managing 40 hectares of vineyards. But here's the twist: he's intentionally scaled down his vineyard's size to make room for polyculture, introducing cereals and fruit trees into his plots. This transition to organic practices officially kicked off in 2019, with the 2022 vintage being the very first 100% organic harvest.

The blend is 75% Merlot, 25% Malbec and 100% ORGANIC and delicious. This is a fabulous low intervention style wine value!
