Chateau Tour De Bigorre 2016 Bordeaux

One of our all-time biggest selling Bordeaux wines is back! But from a new and spectacular vintage. This is the 2016 Chateau Tour de Bigorre. The 2015 was an outstanding wine at a great value and now the 2016 is the perfect follow-up. Awarded a Gold Medal in the Concours International de Lyon just like the 2015 and the same rich expression of Bordeaux terroir.

It's a family run property in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers region on a 170 acre plateau of ideal chalk and clay soil with mature vines averaging 25 years of age. This 2016 is a blend of 52% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc aged in French oak barrels.

It shows blackberry, black currant and black plums with hints of cedar and spice and dark chocolate. The wine has finely balanced tannins that bring a ripe chewy mouthfeel and the flavors linger on the finish.
