Il Molino di Grace is located in the heart of the Chianti region. The winery of Il Molino di Grace – the ‘windmill of grace’ – stands among 74 acres of vineyards that have been producing traditional Chianti Classico wines for over 350 years, and is complete with an historic 19th century windmill and world-class sculptures.
100% Sangiovese from hand-harvested hillside fruit fermented in stainless steel tanks and macerated on skins for 21 days. The wine is aged in a combination of tanks, Slavonian oak barrels, and French barriques prior to a year of bottle aging.
The Wine Advocate scored this 90 points saying "The 2015 Chianti Classico is a classic expression from a great vintage. The wine delivers balanced and steady aromas with bright cherry, pressed blackberry, violets and moist earth. It is true to the taste profile you should expect from this historic Sangiovese-based appellation in Central Italy. The finish reveals bright acidity and accessible primary fruit. This is a mid-weight effort with a long and polished finish."
and The Wine Spectator scored this 92 points saying "A fluid, cherry-infused red, with harmony and a vibrant structure lending immediate appeal. Nonetheless, the solid tannins suggest this will age well. Leather, earth and iron notes round out the flavor profile. Best from 2020 through 2035."
