Sourced from a pristine, impeccably managed vineyard in the notable Yountville sub-AVA of Napa Valley. Remember Yountville is home to Dominus and their Napanook Vineyard as well as Kapcsandy's State Ranch, Lail and Hestan to name a few. The soil is sand, loam, and gravel so roots go deep and yields are kept to a minimum.

The wine was vinted by one of our favorite winemakers Trevor Sheehan, who doesn't need alchemy to transform the gold of superb Napa Valley fruit into the gold of outstanding Napa Valley juice. All he needs is his expertise, focus and experience which he brings to every wine he produces. He aged this Cab 15 months in 60% new oak barrels.

This wine shows ripe black cherry, black currants and hint of toasty oak. The flavors are lively on the palate with racy tannins that give the wine a inviting mouthfeel. The finish is mouthwatering and lengthy with cherry, hints of cocoa and toast.
