Made by Gerard Perse as the second wine to Grand Cru Chateau Monbusquet which he then owned. Aged in new French oak barrels this is a rare, beautifully aged 12 year old Bordeaux from a master vintner. Decanter Magazine scored this 92 points saying "This has to be a star buy for this winter, it is absolutely stunning value! Despite its age it still has plenty of fine, grippy tannins, backed up by meaty black fruit flavours with hints of plum and violet. The mid-palate opens up to reveal flavours of fresh tobacco, cedar, vegetal mulch and toffee. It has the air of a Bordeaux from a more prestigious appellation, that's for sure.
