Complicated 2015 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Cst, Taken

Taken Wine Company was founded in 2009 when next generation winemaker, Carlo Trinchero, realized his dream to start his own wine label. Growing up in the winegrowing town of St. Helena in the Napa Valley, wine is in his DNA. The wines are made with the simple philosophy: to craft great wines to share with friends.  Grapes for this Complicated Pinot Noir were sourced from prime vineyards in the Sonoma Coast AVA,known for its cool climate and high rainfall relative to other parts of Sonoma County.  Its a microclimate uniquley suited to Pinot Noir.  Aged in French oak barrels this wine shows aromas of crushed violets and cherry blossoms complimented by oak notes of sweet vanilla, cedar and spice. The smooth, full mouthfeel of this wine supports flavors of strawberry jam, sweet smoke, roasted nuts.
