This estate bottled Cotes du Rhone Village Chusclan is made by famed consulting enologist Philippe Cambie who has produced wines for Bosquet des Pape, Grand Tinel, Vieux Donjon, Montpertuis and dozens of other first class Rhone estates.
This wine from the extraordinary 2016 vintage, is a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Carignan sourced from mature vines in the Chusclan region on the right side of Rhone river. Sandstone and clay soils along with an arid microclimate bring structure and intensity to the fruit. All of the grapes are vinified separately by varietal and by lot. State-of-the-art fermentation using a treading robot, pumping over and racking all in temperature controlled tanks.
Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 90 points saying "Black-plum and cherry flavors are pleasantly plump and juicy here but edged by savory undertones of garrigue and fresh moss. Full bodied and richly concentrated, it's an elegant but forward, fruity wine to enjoy now–2026."
