Elkhorn Ridge 2018 Cala D'Or White Blend, Willamette Valley

Elkhorn Ridge Vineyards & Winery is located in the heart of Oregon’s prime wine grape growing region, dedicated to growing the finest Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc grapes, and to producing the very best wines that the vineyards will allow. In 2005 Owner Charles Foss, planted some acreage to Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris which are the grapes used in this special white blend. Cala d’Or is a unique blend of estate-grown Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc varietals. It is medium bodied, with crisp freshness, excellent acid balance and a lengthy, satin finish. 100% stainless steel fermented, it exhibits subtle overtones of white peaches, exotic tropical melons and pears. It is at once, an excellent choice to enjoy both with, and without, food. This wine was awarded a Silver Medal in the 2019 Sunset International Wine Competition and a Bronze Medal in the 2019 San Francisco International Wine Competition.
