Keith Emerson graduated from UC Davis and started his career at Cakebread Cellars. He joined Vineyard 29 as the Director of Winemaking where he met Brian Brown. They started Emerson Brown when the fruit came in for the 2005 harvest and it was so abundant that wineries were turning lots away. They saw an opportunity to jump in and produced a killer single vineyard Oakville Cab. Since then they've expanded only slightly, in fact 2013 is the first vintage that they produced a Cab that wasn't entirely from one vineyard and this is the second release. 2014 was another outstanding vintage. Robert Parker scored this wine 94 saying "2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa has loads of chocolate, blackberry, espresso and new oak notes, gorgeous full-bodied texture, beautiful purity and length. This is a terrific full-throttle Cabernet Sauvignon that has the silky tannins of the vintage and enormous fruit extract. Drink it over the next 15-20 years." Very Limited!!
