Here's a wine who's name is the French word meaning "A sudden strong feeling of excitement; a thrill". And that's exactly how you'll feel as soon as you taste this lush Napa Valley Blend. Sourced entirely from the single Toucher Vineyard, this blend was carefully assembled by winemaker Paul Colantuoni who has steadily made a name for himself in Napa after working in France and Italy and then as Assistant Winemaker to superstar Ehren Jordan at Neyers. His winemaking style is the perfect mix of Old World finesse and New World exuberance.
The wine is an iconic Napa Valley blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 7% Petite Verdot. It was aged for 18 months in 100% French oak from coopers Taransaud and St. Martin, 40% new barrels. The aromas come wafting out of your glass of black cherry, black currants and cocoa. A deeper inhale brings savory notes of black olives, tobacco and crushed gravel along with the lush fruit. And the fruit plays the leading role on your palate as the black cherry, cassis and blackberry flavors unfold. The minerals, some appealing toasty notes from the oak and the savories follow close behind and all of it lingers long on the finish. It's then that you will experience the frisson.
Napa Valley blends of this quality are never inexpensive, but we've made an arrangement that brings this beauty to you at about half the regular retail and it's worth every penny. Don't wait as the supply is limited!
