Gavi di Gavi 2017 La Chiara

The La Chiara estate was founded 1975 by the Bergaglio family with just 5 acres of vines. Today it has grown to a healthy 50 acres, located, on the hills of Liguria. The vines exposure, soil diversity and the microclimate generate a complex and refined Gavi di Gavi wine made exclusively from the Cortese grape. Severe pruning and a constant thinning out allow lower yields. The harvest is all by hand. The winery boasts a modern cellar with steel thermo-conditioned vats, pneumatic presses, layer, vacuum, siliceous earth filters, and sterile bottling line. The new designed wine cellar is attesting years of hard work and commitment.

This 2017 Gavi di Gavi is a wine that shows the finest expression of the Cortese grape. Its balanced acidity, makes it a favorite among dry white wine lovers. The bouquet shows notes of melon, green apple and hints of acacia. On the pallet it's clean and dry with delightful floral notes complimented by apple and quince nuances. Due Bicchieri form the Gambero Rosso.
