Handcraft 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, California

HandCraft Artisan Collection wines celebrate the California home and Italian heritage of third generation winery proprietor Cheryl Indelicato. She gives classic grape varieties her own personal touch by adding a playful dash of Italian and heritage varietals as a nod to the vineyard-to-barrel field selections that found their place daily at the Italian table when she was growing up. The result is a distinctive, fruit forward wine. This Cab is a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Petite Sirah and 2% Sangiovese, aged 6 months in French and American oak barrels. Wine Enthusiast Magazine said "Fruity and herbal in flavor and generous in texture, this is medium to full bodied and quite smooth in mouth feel. It smells like currants, black olives and dried herbs, and tastes a bit savory and complex along with the plummy fruit flavors."
