An unprecedented string of superb vintages in the Southern Rhone Valley has continued with the 2020 releases. Here's some of what's being said "the 2020 vintage offers us wines full of elegance and pedigree, far from the excesses we might have expected.", "The reds offer a lot of elegance and softness, presenting a high aging potential. It is a wonderful balanced vintage, combing complexity and freshness." and "2020 is another excellent vintage for the Rhône Valley".
Well, we've got you covered on this one with a stunning 2020 Chateauneuf at an incredible price. Henry de Floret Chateauneuf is a blend of a variety of grapes including Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault and more. The grapes were carefully sorted, crushed and fermented separately in temperature controlled tanks over a two-week period. Aging was in the traditional large casks and the final blend was lightly filtered before bottling.
It shows deep color and a vibrant fruit-filled nose with raspberry, blackberry, black cherry, an herbal hint adds nuance, and a meatiness emerges on the mid-palate followed by some peppery spice. The full body is balanced by racy acidity and the finish lingers. Best of all we grabbed all that was available so we could offer this supple 2020 Rhone at a special price. Don't Miss It!
