About Imagery 2017 Sauvignon Blanc, California
Awarded California State Fair Wine Competition’s Golden State Winery of the Year for 2017, Imagery is rooted in three decades of Sonoma Valley winemaking by the Benziger family. The line of Imagery wines celebrates traditional varietals enhanced with something a little outside the box, Like this Sauvignon Blanc, in the vineyard, careful canopy management helps ensure that grapes are ripening evenly, avoiding too much intense sun and developing the acid needed to create delicious crispness in the final wine. Grapes are chosen for their excellent site location and soil makeup. Each site contributes its own flare to wine. 15% Dry Muscat is blended in adding a rich floral note. The grapes are all cold fermented and then aged in 100% stainless steel. Subtle honeysuckle aromas gently perfume the nose. On the palate you find vibrant notes of citrus, lemon-lime, and grapefruit along with lively mouthwatering acidity. This was awarded a 91 point Gold Medal in the San Diego Wine Challenge.
