Jordan Vineyards almost single-handedly put Alexander Valley on the map. Since the release of their first wine, the 1976 Cabernet Sauvignon, they've been a standard bearer for what this warm-climate corner of Sonoma County can produce. And year after year Jordan's Cabernets continue to deliver bold, ripe flavors, beautifully polished with ideal balance for aging. The blend for this 2016 is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec. The wine was aged in 100% French oak barrels for 13 months, 49% new and 51% one-year-old.
Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 92 points saying "Showing an elegant structure, this historic wine is well integrated in terms of tannin and soft, supportive oak. Dried herb and clove mark the midpalate, adding seasoning and complex character to the currant core."
