Jordan 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley

Jordan Vineyards almost single-handedly put Alexander Valley on the map. Since the release of their first wine, the 1976 Cabernet Sauvignon, they've been a standard bearer for what this warm-climate corner of Sonoma County can produce. And year after year Jordan's Cabernets continue to deliver bold, ripe flavors beautifully polished with ideal balance for aging.

The blend for this 2017 is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec. The wine was aged in 100% French oak barrels for 13 months, 45% new and 55% one-year-old.

Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 92 points saying "Earthy in compostable earth and crushed rock, this well-made wine is elegant in style, with high-toned red fruit and floral highlights. Plum, currant and subtle oak combine for a textured, balanced and enjoyable expression of approachability."
