Grapes for this wine are the creme de la creme of the iconic Stagecoach Vineyard. And why not? The Krupp Brothers were the owners of the vineyard and kept the very best for their own wine. Since most of the grapes from the Stagecoach are contracted to a who's who of Napa Valley wineries, Krupp Brothers produce only small quantities of their own wine. We were extremely excited to find a very few cases of this 2009 available, that has aged gracefully and is showing pure velvet on the palate. On release Robert Parker scored it 92 points and said "The 2009 Veraison Red & Krupp Brothers emerges from the glass with freshly cut roses, flowers, spices and licorice. Silky tannins frame the fruit through to the finish in this supple, radiant red. Veraison is a blend of approximately 33% Syrah, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 12% Malbec, 6% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2024." Extremely Limited!!
