Krupp Brothers 2017 Chardonnay, Stagecoach Vyd., Napa Valley

As the owners of the Stagecoach Vineyard whose client list is long and stellar the Krupp Brothers kept some very prime fruit for own signature label. This Chardonnay reflects the quality and care they lavished on their name wines. The 100% Wente Clone Chardonnay was barrelf fermented in 92% new French oak barrels from Francois Freres, Remond, Tonnellerie O and Seguin Moreau. The wine spent 17 months in oak overall and only a tiny 388 cases was produced.

The Wine Advocate scored this 96 points saying "The 2017 Chardonnay sashays out of the glass with very pretty lemon curd, warm apricots and honeysuckle scents with hints of pie crust, nutmeg and marzipan. Full-bodied, rich and decadently fruited in the mouth, this is a Chardy with bags of class, featuring a creamy texture and tons of stone fruit and savory layers, finishing with fantastic length. Love it!"
