A terrific find! Here's a Medoc Bordeaux from the very fine 2012 vintage with just the right amount of bottle age to have reached it's peak of perfection. The grapes sourced for this Left Bank Bordeaux are from mature vines growing in limestone, gravel and clay soils. Mayne Sansac is Cabernet Sauvignon based with a bit of Cabernet Franc and Merlot in the blend. It received traditional Medoc fermentation in temperature-controlled concrete tanks followed by 12 months in oak barrels.
This is a round and generous wine that has taken on beautiful nuances with age including dried cherry, dried plum, fig, coffee bean, tobacco, cedar and potpourri. The tannins are supple and velvety and the finish lingers. Best of all we grabbed all that was available and can offer it at an amazing discounted price. You will not have to wait another day to enjoy this fine 9 year old Bordeaux, but don't wait to order or might miss it!
