About Nickel & Nickel 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, CC Ranch, Rutherford, Napa Valley

This Cab is from the C.C. Ranch in Rutherford, planted along the slope of a knoll west of the Silverado Trail. The vineyard grows classic Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon on well-drained, gravelly loam soil. The vines are well balanced and the canopy is opened up to give good light exposure. Nickel & Nickel produces wine from 15 select acres of this 115-acre vineyard. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon this wine was aged 17 months in French oak, 52% new.

Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 94 points saying "This Cab is from the C.C. Ranch in Rutherford, planted along the slope of a knoll west of the Silverado Trail. The Wine Advocate scored this 95+ saying "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon C C Ranch Vineyard is deep garnet-purple in color with a nose of warm blackberries and blueberry compote with hints of cedar chest, mocha and baking spices. Medium to full-bodied, it is velvety and elegant with lovely perfume and great persistence."
