The Domaine Courcel is one on the top Domaines in Pommard. It is run by by Yves Confuron of the Domaine Confurno-Cotetidot and the focus is on low yields, late harvesting, whole bunch vinification, cold maceration and long elevage. The Domaine owns many old-vines parcels including this block in the Premier Cru Fremiers vineyard whose vines average 65 years old. Wine Spectator scored this 90 points saying "This is full of chocolate, spice, earth and black cherry aromas and flavors, all backed by juicy acidity and burly tannins. Meaty and dense on the finish. Best from 2018 through 2030"
