Founded in 1775, Quinta do Casal Branco today has over 290 acres of vineyards in heathland soils. At this family owned estate there is strong focus on wine production that is tradition marked by innovation, quality and consistency. It is a privileged place to enjoy multiple experiences around wine.
For this wine the Touriga Nacional grapes are harvested manually. After crushing, fermentation takes place in concrete vats, at controlled temperatures. The wine is then aged in stainless steel until it is bottled.
Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 90 points saying "The typical violet perfumes of the Touriga Nacional lead to a ripe, textured, smoky wine. It is all about fruit and tannins with no wood aging to intervene. The result is a solid, dense wine that needs another year. Drink from 2020."
