Grapes for this delightful Malbec are sourced from the high-altitude vineyards in the Lujan de Cuyo in Mendoza. It's 100% Malbec and the grapes are carefully destemmed and undergo a four day cold maceration. The must is fermented at low temperatures in order to maintain aromatic delicacy. The fermentation is carried out with gentle pumpovers to also allow good extraction from the fruit. The wine is then aged for a short 3 months in French oak barrels.
This supple Malbec is fresh and balanced. It shows red fruits; strawberry, cherry, pomegranate, on the nose. On the palate, polished tannins give it a pleasing texture and the fruit is lifted by bright acidity and a subtle note of oak adds nuance. A marvelous value!
