Renacer 2019 Malbec, Repasso, Mendoza

Founded by Chilean business man Patricio Reich, with the collaboration of world-renowned winemaker Alberto Antonini, Bodega Renacer is a winery in Mendoza, Argentina with an ultra-modern facility featuring a medieval tower with state-of-the-art winemaking equipment.  Vineyards used for Renacer’s bottlings are more than 50 years old and have very low yields.

Alberto Antonini brings his considerable expertise to this unique project, creating a wine that is an Italian inspiration but pure Argentina in the bottle. For this unique Repasso, Malbec grapes are fermented in stainless steel and left to rest. Then Malbec grapes that have been dried like Amarone grapes are added to the vat and an andditional fermentation takes place adding body, richness and complex flavors to the original wine.

This wine has deep and intense ruby red with purple shades. It is very complex and offers fresh aromas like plums and violets and in the second nose offers aromas like honey, cherry and ripe figs, which combine with spicy notes of black pepper and aromatic herbs.
