The Robert Mondavi Winery in Oakville is surrounded by the famous To-Kalon Vineyard with its acres of Cabernet vines up to 35 years of age. That's what makes their Oakville Cabernet so special and such a great value. The grapes for this wine were sourced entirely from the legendary To Kalon vineyard (To Kalon Cabs typically sell for over $100 for a regular 750 ml bottle).


It's a blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot and 2% Merlot aged in 72% new French-oak barrels for 22 months.

Robert Mondavi's 2013 Oakville is a powerful, muscular cab that offers aromas of blackberry and cassis, with a note of graphite and cedar as well as generous wood spice. It will need some time to fully come into its own, but all of the markers are there and this wine has the potential to turn into something even more glorious that it is in the here and now."
