Roederer Estate 2013 L'Ermitage Brut, Anderson Valley

L'Ermitage, Roederer Estate's special Tete de Cuve, is a sparkling wine made only in exceptional years from pre-selected, estate-grown grapes. Carrying on the tradition of Champagne Louis Roederer in France, Roederer Estate produces its sparkling wines in the traditional French methode and adds special oak-aged reserve wines to each blend. This new release was recently disgorged, then aged 5 months on the cork. The 2011 was selected the #2 Wine on Wine Enthusiast Magazine's Top 100 Wines for 2018 this 2013 is just as outstanding or better.
