Taken Wine Co. Complicated 2016 Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast

Taken Wine Company was founded in 2009 when next generation winemaker, Carlo Trinchero, realized his dream to start his own wine label. Growing up in the winegrowing town of St. Helena in the Napa Valley, wine is in his DNA. The wines are made with the simple philosophy: to craft great wines to share with friends.

They sourced grapes for this wine from prime vineyards in the Sonoma Coast AVA, known for its cool climate and high rainfall relative to other parts of Sonoma County. Its a microclimate uniquley suited to Pinot Noir. 100% Chardonnay aged aged in French oak barrels.  

Wine Enthusiast Magazine said "Pungent in oak and strong, warm aromas of crème brûlée, this wine offers a lush profile of mango, papaya and baked peach, slightly tropical and rich while being moderately balanced and the right kind of rich."
