Technique 2016 Proprietary Red, Stags Leap Dist., Napa Valley

Technique is another gem from our friends at the Precision Wine Company. Proprietor, vintner Trevor Sheehan, after spending nearly a decade learning from the master winemakers of Burgundy and Bordeaux and collecting and trading the world's finest wines, he became determined to create brands that unlock the essence and flavors of these treasures at affordable prices. He returned to California where he has made important connections with grape growers in the Napa Valley's primes AVA's and his wines all reflect his uncanny ability to source incredible grapes. This wine is a sumptuous blend made with grapes from a single vineyard in the northern end the Stags Leap District, near Cliff Lede and Shafer. It's 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Petite Sirah and 15% Merlot aged in French oak. Wine Enthusiast Magazine said aabout this belnd "dusty bramble of succulent black cherry and licorice, ultimately presenting a satisfying, likable wine thats full bodied and richly round."
