Marco Bacci, owner of Castello di Bossi in Chianti and Tenuta Renieri in Montalcino also owns the Terre di Talamo estate in Maremma. With high altitude hillside vineyards he grows international varietals and makes this refreshing rose from 50% Sangiovese and 50% Cabernet.
Vinous scored this 91 points saying "The 2019 Terre di Talamo Piano Piano is both savory and sweet on the nose, as green citrus and spice give way to crushed white berries, apple, melon, and a hint of ginger. On the palate, soft textures are enlivened by zesty acids, as ripe orchard fruits and minerals cascade across the senses, with sweet florals and spice toward the finale. The finish is long and mouthwatering, tugging at the senses with just a hint of tannic bite, as citrus-tinged-minerals and notes of ripe green melon slowly fade. This is really quite nice as it plays with the senses."
