About Yering Station 2017 Pinot Noir, Little Yering, Yarra Valley

After changing hands several times throughout the early-to-mid 1900s, Yering Station was purchased by the Rathbone family in 1996. Yering continues to be a family owned and operated winery dedicated to producing wines of quality and distinction. The Rathbone family is committed to providing an environment that allows its passionate young team to thrive.

For this wine grapes were sourced from prime vineyards in Australia's cool Yarra Valley. After careful temperature controlled fermentation the wine aged 9 months in oak barrels.

The 2016 was a Wine En thusiast Top 100 selection. Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 2017 90 points saying "This is a simple but elegant Pinot from one of the Yarra's historic producers. Full of delicate red fruit and plums and laced with savory if slightly soapy wood notes, the palate is relatively light weight but firmly structured. The fruit veers on the tart side and the oak makes itself known, but overall there's a lovely freshness and purity of fruit here, along with plenty of bang for your buck."
