Known for his band and his music, Zac Brown is a creative spirit who has a passion for bringing music, food, and people together. The next logical step for him was to make wine. For this, his Uncaged series he teamed up with the resources of Delicato Family Wines and Napa Valley Winemaker John Killebrew, who grew up in California, developed a love for nature, gardening, cooking, and music at an early age. As a winemaker, John is able to stay immersed in nature. Working in partnership with Zac and accessing the Delicato's superb quality grapes he's able to create wines with true character and style that offer a lot for a little. This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from prime vineyards. The 2017 vintage another of exceptional quality.
The grapes for this 2017 Cab were sourced from Mendocino County, Lodi and from the Delicato Family's own San Bernabe Vineyard. The grapes are picked in the cool of the morning and slowly warmed to fermentation temperatures. Early extraction with multiple pump-overs promotes great color and deep, smooth tannins. The wine then completes malolactic fermentation before blending. Complimentary oak styles are chosen to enhance the wine’s aroma, flavor and texture.
