About Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2011 Manapetra, La Lecciaia

Single vineyard Brunello di Montalcinos are the most select and rare of this elite breed of Italian wines. This is a very rare single vineyard Riserva from the accomplished Fattoria la Lecciaia. This hillside vineyard is selected because it receives the best exposure of all the vineyards on the estate and consistently produces the highest quality fruit. 2011 was another excellent vintage. This Riserva was carefully vinified and aged in large oak casks for more than two years. James Suckling scored this 94 points saying "A velvety-textured and beautiful 2011 with plum, chocolate and hazelnut character. Full body, velvety tannins and a flavorful finish. Shows depth and density. Drink or hold."
