About Canella Brut NV Rose, Pinot Noir
Famous for their DOCG Prosecco wines, Canella was founded in 1947 by Luciano Canella. The winery is located in San Donà di Piave and Luciano’s children, Alessandra, Lorenzo, Nicoletta, and Monica, now run the state-of-the-art winery together with Tommaso, the first of the third generation.
This wine is made entirely of Pinot Noir (Pinot Nero in Italian)from the Trentino Alto-Adige region. The grapes are hand-picked and fermented in stainless steel before undergoing partial maceration on the skins. As in the making of Prosecco, Canella Rose is made with the Charmat method of sparkling wine production.
Wine Enthusiast Maqgazine said "Made using the fragrant Pinot Nero grape, this cheerful rose sparkler shows a pretty pale-pink color, with delicate aromas of wild berry, cranberry and fresh raspberry. It shows bright, bubbling and persistent perlage."
