The history of Dubois winegrowers dates back to around 1600 with the birth of Emiland Dubois. Since 2006, the R. Dubois et Fils Domaine has been managed by Raphael and Beatrice Dubois. Raphael is in charge of marketing the wines and Beatrice is the oenologist who is truly passionate about wine. She divides her time between producing the estate’s wines, and customer tastings all over the world.
This wine is a very limited bottling from from a small parcel of about half an acre in the Le Chalandins lieut-dit. The vineyard lies just below Echezeaux at the base of the slope in Vosne-Romanée. The vines average 60 years of age. The wine aged 12 nmonths in oak barrels. It shows lush fruit and supple tannins with baked cherry, pommegranate and roasted chestnuts with vibrant acidity and minerality. Drinks beautifully right now but can cellar up to 4-6 years.
