About Ferrari Carano 2017 Chardonnay, Tre Terre, Russian River Valley
This is the latest release f Ferrari Carano's Tre Terre Chardonnay. The 2016 was #36 on Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of 2018!! Ferrari-Carano has always been a leading producer of world-class, nationally-acclaimed wines. Vintage after vintage, the wines exhibit a remarkable consistency of style and elegance. To produce this Tre Terre Chard each lot is whole-cluster pressed, then cold settled in stainless steel tanks, and within 24 hours is moved directly to barrels for fermentation with native and cultured yeast. The wine completes 96% malolactic fermentation and is sur lie aged and stirred weekly for nine months. The final blend was assembled in May 2018, and the wine is barreled again in neutral oak until bottling, for a total of almost 17 months of barrel aging.
