    About Lyric By Etude 2014 Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara

    Lyric by Etude is a solid Pinot Noir from a producer well known for outstanding Pinot. Etude's wines come from their vineyards in Carneros but Lyric shows off the incredible character of Santa Barbara Pinot. Grapes are sourced from the famous Fiddlestix Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills as well as the North Canyon Vineyard adjacent to Bien Nacido. Winemaker John Priest knows these vineyards well having worked with Taz and Wild Horse. The wine is aged 11 months in French oak barrels, 30% new. It shows aromas of ripe cherry, strawberry and cranberry. The palate shows notes of baking spices, toasted nuts, strawberry and black cherry enhanced by silky, round tannins, and the best part is, this lush Etude second label Pinot is yours for an unbeatable price.
