Bogle 2016 Old Vine Zinfandel, California

The Bogle family has been farming in the Clarksburg region for six generations and Family owned Bogle vineyards has an amazing reputation for producing wines that show outstanding value. For years, they have sought out vines ranging in age from 60 to 80 years old for their Old Vine Zinfandel from Lodi and Amador County. These gnarly head-trained and dry farmed pioneers produce low yields of small, concentrated clusters of fruit, producing incredibly intense and flavorful wines. The wine is aged 12 months in two year old American oak barrels.

The 2015 was selected as Wine Enthusiast Magazine's #1 Best Buy of 2018. This 2016 is equally outstanding both in terms of quality and value. It's saturated with flavors of red berries and cranberries. Laced with a hint of savory anise and tones of juniper. The full and ripe finish brings spicy oak and a touch of vanilla wafer.
